Eggy Dishes
Here are two of our family fun recipes. You may think that eggs are not a good idea, but I do not agree. It has been quite a few years now that all research done cannot prove that eggs are bad for your cholesterol, actually the same goes for meat. People are not willing to believe it yet, but even though the cholesterol in meat and eggs are the "bad" cholesterol, it does not seem necessarily raise your blood cholesterol levels. On thing is certain, low fat eating must not be taken to too great levels as your brain needs fat to function properly and your body needs fat for the absorption of fat soluble vitamins. When the whole low fat business started, it was not a problem because people ate enough fat naturally, but now people have become so fat conscious that they sometimes do not eat enough fat for their health OK, so now I have justified our eggy family fun recipes and here they are. The first is an easy curried eggs recipe that is very suitable for a light lunch. Do remember to boil your eggs after you have made the sauce. Keep the sauce hot while you boil the eggs. If you boil the eggs too soon, they will be cold and that will not do, it tastes horrible! Easy Curried Eggs Ingredients: * 1 onion Method: 1. Fry the onions in the butter. To serve the curried eggs: 1. Cut the eggs in halves and lay them on a bed of rice. Our second family fun recipe is one of my daughter in law's favorites as she loves asparagus. It could not be easier and any good quality cheese sauce will do. Tasty Cheese Eggs And Asparagus Dish Ingredients: * 3 or 4 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and cut into halves Method: 1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit The reason I love these two family favorite recipes is because you can have dinner on the table in a jiffy! The curried eggs recipe has saved my life many times. It is even tasty enough to serve to unexpected guests. We all have our family favorite recipes for different reasons. Mine is: my husband loves eggs and I cannot give him a bigger treat than a meal with eggs and my daughter in law love asparagus so I can treat her with that one. I hope you enjoy our family favorite recipes as much as we do. |
